By using WEB 1984 you agree to these terms. They're written to be readable — if anything here surprises you, tell us.

1. The service

WEB 1984 provides web search, knowledge panels, and related features. Search is free for everyone. Some features — claiming panels, advertising, publishing — require a free account.

2. Your account

• You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
• You are responsible for keeping your password confidential.
• One account per person or organization; sharing credentials is not allowed.
• You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Scrape the service at abusive volumes or circumvent rate limits.
• Submit false information to knowledge panels or impersonate others.
• Upload unlawful, hateful, or infringing content.
• Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the platform.

4. Knowledge panels

Panels compile information from public sources and panel owners. Claiming a panel means you assert you are (or represent) the subject; false claims lead to removal and account suspension. Verified badges are issued by WEB 1984 after review and can be revoked.

5. Advertising

Sponsored placements are always labeled. Advertisers are responsible for the truthfulness of their ads; misleading ads are removed and repeat offenders are banned.

6. Intellectual property

Search results link to third-party content we don't own. If you're a rights holder and believe content should be removed, contact support with the details and we'll act promptly.

7. Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" without warranties. Search results and panel content are informational; we don't guarantee completeness or accuracy, though we work hard on both and correct errors when reported.

8. Changes

We'll update these terms as the product evolves and post the new version here with a fresh date. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
